Additionally, during the entire procedure, please ensure that the steps below are always being followed.
1. Ensure that your weapon is always in a safe condition.
2. Ensure you are always following the proper safety procedures.
3. Ensure that you are always using proper PPE (Person Protective Equipment).
Preparation
Prior to firing the first round through your brand new barrel. We recommend you do the following.
1. Wet 3 patches with Bore Tech Eliminator cleaning solvent.
2. Push all 3 wet watches through the bore individually. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
3. Make 10 total passes with a tight fitting nylon bore brush saturated with Bore Tech Eliminator cleaning solvent.
• One total pass consists of a pass from the chamber to muzzle then back.
4. Wet 3 patches with Bore Tech Eliminator cleaning solvent.
5. Push all 3 wet watches through the bore individually. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
6. Let Bore Tech Eliminator cleaning solvent soak inside of the barrel bore for 5 minutes.
7. Push dry patches through the bore until they come out clean and dry. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
Break-In Procedure
We understand that there are many different barrel Break-In procedures. This is what we have settled on after years and years of testing.
After properly breaking in a barrel it make take approximately 50 - 100 rounds to to properly foul the barrel and achieve peak accuracy.
1. Fire One Shot.
2. Let barrel cool to room temperature.
3. Wet 3 Patched with Bore Tech Eliminator Cleaning Solvent.
4. Push all 3 wet watches through the bore individually. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
5. Let Bore Tech Eliminator Cleaning solvent soak inside of the barrel bore for 5 minutes.
6. Push dry patches through the bore until they come out clean and dry. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
7. Fire Three Shots in succession with at least 5 seconds between each shot.
8. Let barrel cool to room temperature.
9. Wet 3 Patched with Bore Tech Eliminator Cleaning Solvent.
10. Push all 3 wet watches through the bore individually. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
11. Let Bore Tech Eliminator Cleaning solvent soak inside of the barrel bore for 5 minutes.
12. Push dry patches through the bore until they come out clean and dry. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
13. Fire Five Shots in succession with at least 5 seconds between each shot.
14. Let barrel cool to room temperature.
15. Wet 3 Patched with Bore Tech Eliminator Cleaning Solvent.
16. Push all 3 wet watches through the bore individually. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
17. Let Bore Tech Eliminator Cleaning solvent soak inside of the barrel bore for 5 minutes.
18. Push dry patches through the bore until they come out clean and dry. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
19. Fire Ten Shots in succession with at least 5 seconds between each shot.
20. Let barrel cool to room temperature.
21. Wet 3 Patched with Bore Tech Eliminator Cleaning Solvent.
22. Push all 3 wet watches through the bore individually. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
23. Let Bore Tech Eliminator Cleaning solvent soak inside of the barrel bore for 5 minutes.
24. Push dry patches through the bore until they come out clean and dry. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
25. Fire 25 Shots in succession with at least 5 seconds between each shot.
26. Let barrel cool to room temperature.
27. Wet 3 Patched with Bore Tech Eliminator Cleaning Solvent.
28. Push all 3 wet watches through the bore individually. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
29. Let Bore Tech Eliminator Cleaning solvent soak inside of the barrel bore for 5 minutes.
30. Push dry patches through the bore until they come out clean and dry. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
31. Fire 100 Shots in succession with at least 5 seconds between each shot.
32. Let barrel cool too room temperature.
33. Wet 3 patches with Bore Tech Eliminator cleaning solvent.
34. Push all 3 wet watches through the bore individually. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
35. Make 10 total passes with a tight fitting nylon bore brush saturated with Bore Tech Eliminator cleaning solvent.
• One total pass consists of a pass from the chamber to muzzle then back.
36. Wet 3 patches with Bore Tech Eliminator cleaning solvent.
37. Push all 3 wet watches through the bore individually. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
38. Let Bore Tech Eliminator cleaning solvent soak inside of the barrel bore for 5 minutes.
39. Push dry patches through the bore until they come out clean and dry. Only push patches through the bore in the direct of chamber to muzzle end.
40. Enjoy your new barrel!
